GUEST COLUMNIST: Coming Full Circle with Mark Hampton, Founder FTL Leadership Group
Revenue Generation.
Do your employees feel connected and important to the success of your organization or do they feel as if they are insignificant?
If you don't know the answer to this question you could be losing money!
It is imperative that the people who work for you know the value they bring to your mission. You must see them, and get them to see themselves, as direct extensions of all revenue generation. Without focusing on this critical element within your organizational culture, it may be difficult for you to get them to perform at a level that produces higher revenues.
How is that so?
The most inexpensive form of energy your organization has at its diposal are supervisors who know how to lead the teams who actually answer the phones, work with the customers, deliver the products/services and have regular contact with your customers.
Unfortunately, most organizations don't spend enough time ensuring that supervisory level employees have the skills needed to:
- communicate vision
- create a team
- motivate
- coach
- know how to encourage their subordinates to produce increased revenue
It's not your only your products that need to be better, it is also the performance of your people. When your supervisors perform at higher & more productive levels than your competitor's supervisors - your revenues will reflect that difference and when that happens, you have just come full circle!
