                                Releasing a Young Spirit.

This week: learn about awakening and releasing the youthful spirit within!

When we were young, we said Yes! to every experience.

We took risks, made sloppy mistakes and laughed with little effort. We dreamt about our future but lived in the optimistic presence of the moment. Regardless of physical attributes, our open, enthusiastic spirit projected an appealing magnetic aura that made us look and feel attractive.

But all those dreams did not manifest and over time, our failures, disappointments and narrowing belief systems began to dim that magnetic aura. Societal expectations warned of impending obsolescence. We saw ourselves only as a mask and how that mask was changing. Divine Aging asks you to remove the mask and begin to allow the truth of your sacred being to emerge and be adored.

Look in the mirror.

What do you see? Now close your eyes and think about a deliciously fun moment in your life. Allow the energy of that moment to move into your heart, to fill every cell. Imagine it creating a bright glow around your body. Open your eyes again. Do you seem a little younger, lighter, and attractive?

Paint, write, cook, whatever stirs your creative passions. Do something new. Take a risk. You’ll survive. Practice kindness. Run in nature—barefoot. Keep at least one thing in your home at all times that makes you smile. Filling your life with what brings you light is the secret to releasing your young spirit. A joyful glow minimizes age better than any face cream.

Watch your thoughts.

Whenever you have a negative thought about self-worth, write it down and put it away in a special box. Immediately replace that thought in your head with the opposite truth. Then repeat that positive thought out loud 10 times. Once a week, in a small ritual, discard those negative thoughts.

Say Yes!

Laugh at yourself. Wear colors that make you feel good. The light of a happy heart is the truest expression of a young spirit.
