Step 3:    maintaining a healthy body

There is nothing more important to Divine Aging than respecting your body, that magical vehicle which transports your spirit through life.

The natural glow of a healthy body fused with cultivated inner light creates an extraordinary affect on all those who come in contact with you. A healthy body looks good. A healthy body feels good. And a healthy body does good. Through understanding how to cleanse the system of toxins, nourish it with the proper nutrients and employ exercise and movement, we can become our own natural beauty product.

Nutritional needs change with age. What we put into our body affects well-being as much as wellness. And, certain foods actually stimulate your system to soften wrinkles, banish cellulite and naturally tone the body. Divine Aging teaches the importance of recognizing our body as a spiritual machine that deserves proper care and maintenance.

It begins with five simple gifts we offer our body:

Cleansing: Old gunk slows down the machinery. Fasting, raw foods, juicing and herbal regimens restore your youthful self, clearing not only the body, but also the mind.

Food: More than ever, you are what you eat. NOTHING processed. Keep sugar low. It creates inflammation, a primary cause of aging and disease. Lots of veggies, fish and water. Feed your body. Don’t contaminate it.

Nutrients: As we get older, the body has a hard time absorbing nutrition from food. Give it help with youth nutrients including calcium/magnesium, C, B, E, alpha lipoic acid, flax oil, and
digestive enzymes with meals.

Exercise: Young bodies move. Whether it’s
yoga, weight training, swimming, running or dancing, find the body movement that keeps your heart pumping and muscles singing. And don’t forget to stretch!

TLC: If we don’t love our body, who else will? Give it massages. Treat it to a facial, a day at the spa. Have a pedicure. Let it touch and be touched.

By lovingly maintaining your body, cultivating your soul and awakening your youthful spirit, aging will become the most beautiful expression of your divine self.

This is the final entry for this phase of The Divine Aging Series.
